A royal expert has claimed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s actions are “staged” as the duo complete their Colombia visit, which some have branded as a “faux-royal” tour.

The couple spent four days in Colombia on the invitation of the country’s vice-president, Francia Márquez. They spent the first two days talking to activists, experts and school children about the impact of social media on young people and took part in a summit on internet safety.

Part of the visit was also to learn about Colombia’s culture and history.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, royal broadcaster Robert Jobson suggested that everything Meghan and Harry does is “fake”.

In a speech before they arrived, Vice President Francia Marquez said she had invited them as she had “heard their story on Netflix”. On the controversial documentary, Robert said: “It wasn’t just fast and loose with the truth, a lot of it was complete baloney.”
