Royal fans all sending Prince William the same message as Kate and Charles battle cancer
Heartfelt messages are pouring in for Prince William as #poorwilliam trends online and well-wishers say he is “trying to keep his family positive”.
A trending hashtag on social media shows royal fans are expressing their sympathies towards the Royal Family and Prince William stating the heir to the throne is “trying to keep his family positive” during these difficult times.
In an emotional video, Kate revealed she has been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer. The 42-year-old’s diagnosis comes just three months after she underwent abdominal surgery back in January.
King Charles also disclosed his cancer diagnosis earlier in the year after he underwent a procedure for prostate surgery.
Fans on X, rushed to express their sympathies for Kate and William. User, @louisegector wrote: “Poor William – both his dad and his wife. I don’t care how much money you have or how many staff, that’s awful.”
User @Van7212 wrote: “Poor William, having to bear this responsibility of keeping their young family positive, and happy as possible. Having to hold his tongue as people attacked and criticised. Bless their whole family. I hope that they can now recover in peace and quiet.”

Royal fans have expressed their concerns and sympathies to Prince William
At the time of Kate’s successful surgery on January 16, no tests at the time had found cancer. However, post-operative tests later revealed that the disease had been found. It is understood that Kate started preventative chemotherapy in late-February.
Kate is said to be in “good spirits” and is focused on her recovery. During the emotional video, Kate asked the public for “time, space and privacy”.
Another social media user expressed their concerns for two members of the Firm fighting cancer, stating: “Poor William, both his dad and wife both have cancer. How absolutely awful. Sending love to the @RoyalFamily during such desperate times. We, the British public, are all wishing you well.”
Another stated how the “full glare of publicity” must be difficult during this time.
Princess Kate asked the public for “time, space and privacy”
At the start of Kate’s personal video, she said: “I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery.
“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.”
The mother-of-three also explained how she had to explain her diagnosis to her children “in a way that is appropriate for them”.
She said: “Most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be ok.”
The Princess of Wales was expected to return to duty next month, although she will now focus on recovery.
