Last Friday’s announcement from Princess Kate was a telling sign of her true feelings towards Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, an expert has claimed.
Princess Kate did not inform Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of her cancer diagnosis before going public with her video message, however royal reporters were informed an hour and a half beforehand in order to prepare their coverage.
Last Friday at 6pm the Princess of Wales shared a video explaining that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy after cancer had been detected following her abdominal surgery in January.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex found out at the same time as everybody else, and posted a statement which read: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden wrote that a while a few years ago it would have been unthinkable for Kate not to tell Harry about her diagnosis, but suggested now the Sussexes were simply not trusted enough.
He said: “Prince Harry and his wife discovered that their sister-in-law Kate had cancer at the same time as the rest of the world – at 6pm on Friday, when Kensington Palace released her brave and moving video message.

Princess Kate reportedly does not trust the Sussexes
“That, as it happens, was about one hour and 30 minutes later than the royal correspondents, who were given the details in confidence so that they could prepare their news reports. They were trusted, evidently.
“That neither Kate nor Prince William should let Prince Harry know would have been inconceivable just a few years ago.”
There has been speculation that this most recent crisis for the royals could see them patching things up with Prince Harry, as he is scheduled to be in the UK on May 8.
The Duke will be attending a service at St Paul’s Cathedral to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Kate and Harry once had a close bond
However it is unlikely he would receive a warm reception from William and Kate following the claims he made in his memoir Spare, which took aim at the Waleses and their marriage.
In the book the Duke accused his brother of physically attacking him during an argument, while Kate comes under fire for reportedly making Meghan cry over bridesmaids dresses for the latter’s wedding, although she later sent flowers to apologise.
Kate and Meghan never had a good relationship, with royal expert Tessa Dunlop telling The Mirror: “In Harry’s words: ‘Meg: ripped jeans, barefoot. Kate: done up to the nines.’ The only thing the two women had in common was the Royal Family they married into.”
Kate and Meghan have very little in common
Royal author Tom Quinn believes that if Harry wants to get anywhere with his family, he needs to make the first move when it comes to apologising.
He told The Mirror: “He wants to reconcile with his brother so that the children can have some kind of a relationship, but he and Meghan still think that a grovelling apology needs to come from William and Kate first.
“He has implied that if he gets an apology from his family then he is prepared to forgive, but that just isn’t going to happen.”
