The reason why Prince William was not at Princess Kate’s side during her cancer diagnosis video has been revealed.
Kate cut a lone figure as she announced she was undergoing chemotherapy in the video which was released on Friday, March 22.
After seeing the clip, many wondered why William was not at her side and now a palace source has told all.
The source told the People: “It is a message from the princess about her health, and she wanted to personally deliver the message on her own.”
In the video, Kate said she was in “good spirits” as she focused on the road to recovery.
Kate Middleton released the video on Friday,
She said: “I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery.
“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.”
Speaking of William, she said he had been “a great source of comfort and reassurance” to her throughout, and that they have taken time to “process and manage this privately” for the sake of their children.
It comes after a number of health scares rocked the Royal Family, with both the King and the Princess of Wales stepping back from public duties.
The Queen represented King Charles on Thursday at the historic Royal Maundy service at Worcester Cathedral, which he missed with “great sadness” as he continues to undergo cancer treatment.
But he is expected to attend the Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle this weekend in what will be his first public appearance since he was diagnosed with cancer.
