The emotional lunch between Kate Middleton and King Charles: She’s just another daughter
The British royal family is going through one of the hardest times in its recent history.
The death of Queen Elizabeth led to the accession of Charles to the throne. Just a year later, the current king announced that he was suffering from cancer. A week earlier, Kate Middleton underwent abdominal surgery that also resulted in cancer.
The two are recovering at Kensington Palace and support each other.
The British media confirm that the relationship between the two is excellent and the king is very much on top of the Princess of Wales, as he knows what she must be going through these days.
Robert Hardman, expert of Hello! magazine, assures that the two have met again at a lunch: “We don’t know what they talked about. It is very clear that the king is extremely worried about her and wants to let her know”.
She also assures that Charles wants his son and daughter-in-law to lean on his figure for anything they need: “He wants to make it clear that if there is anything he can do for them, he will do it”. Other British media such as The Sun or Daily Mail also confirm that this conversation at lunch took place and that the monarch holds Middleton in high esteem: “She’s just another daughter”.
The whole British royal family is with Kate Middleton
With the exception of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry (although they have also shown their support), due to the distance, the entire British royal family has turned to the state of health of the Princess of Wales.
In particular, Prince William. Her husband has accompanied her at all times and is helping her with the treatment she is following on medical advice.
The heir to the throne and the current king have become her ultimate supporters in the fight against cancer.
Although, only one of them knows what Middleton is going through, which is why her relationship with Charles has strengthened so much.
“When they were in hospital together they used to walk the corridors a lot to spend time together,” notes The Times, also confirming that the monarch is keeping an eye on all the progress of her illness.
