Reports Prince William and Kate Middleton ‘want a truce’ with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Royal fans are hoping for a reunion between Prince William and Prince Harry.

Sources say this is unlikely to happen next week, but Prince William and Catherine seem to be ‘open’

Prince William and his wife Catherine are said to want a “truce” with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the sake of their children, but a brotherly reunion next week seems unlikely, according to reports.

The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex “haven’t had a real conversation in months” but the two brothers are “open” to a meeting that could potentially patch things up, a source has claimed.

The insider also said the Princess of Wales, who is battling cancer, is “done with all the bad blood” and is “willing” to talk to her brother-in-law, Harry.

The two royal couples have gone through years of tensions since Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior royals and moved to the US. Since then, they have spoken publicly about their time in the Royal Family, and have issued a number of attacks towards the Firm through TV interviews, shows, and in Harry’s memoir, Spare, which was published in January 2023.

A reunion between William and Harry next week is unlikely, sources say

Royal fans are now hoping for a reunion between William, 41, and Harry, 39, when the Duke of Sussex travels to London for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games next week. But according to royal experts, a reunion is still up in the area, even though Harry is expected to meet his father, King Charles, while in the UK.

An insider claimed that Harry’s visit to the UK could serve as an olive branch, revealing that the Duke has tried to contact his family to invite them to the Invictus Games event. The source told Us Weekly that even though William and Harry “haven’t spoken, there is potential for that” as they added: “[Harry] would be more than happy [to].”

Another source told the publication that the brothers are “open” to seeing each other and that the ice appears to be melting between the Sussexes and the Waleses, especially now that both the King and Catherine are battling cancer. The source said Catherine is willing to talk to Harry, with both the Prince and Princess of Wales ready to call a truce.

They added that William and Catherine hope to get back on good terms with Harry and Meghan so that their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis can form a bond with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Harry and Meghan are said to feel the same way.

The insider said: “They want a relationship with Meghan and Harry, and they don’t want the acrimony to carry over to the next generation. Obviously, the Duke and Duchess want their kids to have a relationship with their cousins.”

It comes as an insider told The Mirror that the relationship between the two brothers “remains extremely fractured”, adding: “Harry has privately expressed a wish to sit down with his brother but now is not the time.” Harry is due to arrive in London on Tuesday and stay for three days.

It will be his second time in Britain this year, after February’s trip to see his dad a day after it was announced Charles had cancer. He is now expected to see his father again, with the monarch finding gaps in his diary to meet his younger son.

A source said: “Harry has kept in regular contact with his father on several occasions and made no secret of his desire to see him when he can. He has been especially concerned about him and hopes the King will be well and able to see him as planned.”

Aides said his movements are dependent on how he is feeling on any day. Harry’s contact with his dad has “remained positive”, a source revealed. The Duke has sent messages of support during his cancer battle. In a recent US TV interview, Harry said he hoped the King’s diagnosis can have a “reunifying effect” on the family.
