All of Kate Middleton’s Wimbledon Outfits Through The Years – All 25 Looks!
Let’s take a look at every single outfit Kate Middleton has worn to Wimbledon since marrying Prince William in 2011.

There are 25 in total (plus a bonus entry—a look at her tennis-themed dress during a Zoom call that took place during the pandemic).

I thought it’d be fun to see how Kate’s style has evolved over the last twelve years. Plus, it’ll help us predict what she might wear next! Let’s start with the first, which happens to be one of my favourites!

Kate attended Wimbledon once in 2011. A couple of months after marrying Prince William, the then-Duchess watched Andy Murray play Richard Gasquet in a fourth-round match on day seven of the tournament. According to news reports, the weather was “scorching hot”—hence the sleeveless dress.

The garment was by Temperley London—the Moraiah dress. It featured three tiers of pleated ruffles and shoulder straps with a unique circular cutout design on the straps.

Kate paired the white tiered dress with her now-iconic L.K. Bennett Sledge Pumps, her Stuart Weitzman Muse Clutch, her mystery sapphire earrings and her gold ‘C’ charm bracelet, which we think was a gift from Camilla. She also carried a brown jacket, which we didn’t manage to get a good look at.

2012 – Alexander McQueen Sailor Style Dress in Cream
In 2012, Kate attended Wimbledon twice. For her first appearance of the year, on day nine of the tournament, she watched the gentlemen’s singles quarterfinals.

She re-wore a cream sailor-inspired dress designed by Alexander McQueen‘s Sarah Burton. She first wore the cable-knit garment during a visit to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada during the 2011 tour.

At Wimbledon, Kate paired the dress with her mystery blue sapphire earrings and her blue ‘Kate’ bag by Jaeger and her blue suede Alexander McQueen pumps.

2012 – Joseph Vanessa Dress and Joseph Nessie Jacket, both Cream
Pippa accompanied Kate to her second Wimbledon game of 2012. The two Middleton sisters watched Andy Murray play Roger Federer in the men’s singles final—Roger emerged victorious. Kate wore her Joseph Vanessa dress.

Another 2011 tour re-wear from Charlottetown, Canada 2011.

In the Royal Box, Kate paired the cream dress with the ‘Nessie Tweed Jacket’, also by Joseph, the Diane Von Furstenberg Lytton clutch in leopard print, a pair of Kiki McDonough Citrine Drop earrings, a Kristin Magnusson Acorn necklace, a silver chain (possibly by Wimbledon’s then-sponsor, Links of London) and a pair of Givenchy Obsidia sunglasses.

Kate did not attend Wimbledon in 2013, as she was nearing the end of her first pregnancy. In an interview for Our Wimbledon, a BBC documentary that aired in 2017, Kate revealed that she was advised by doctors not to attend. She’ll have been disappointed to have missed Andy Murray’s historic win, no doubt—he defeated Novak Djokovic to become the first British man to win the final in 77 years. Prince George was born two weeks later.

2014 – Zimmerman Roamer Day Dress in White Broderie Anglaise
Kate returned to Wimbledon in 2014. She watched Andy Murray play Grigor Dimitrov in the men’s quarter-finals. For the tennis match, she chose a white dress by Zimmermann, the company’s Roamer Day Dress in white.

It was another tour re-wear. We first spotted her in the garment during a visit to Sydney in 2014.

On this occasion, Kate paired the white dress with her L.K. Bennett Sledge Pumps, her Anya Hindmarch Fan Clutch, her Annoushka Pearl Drop earrings, a red pashmina/scarf and her Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.

Kate re-wore another tour dress for her second Wimbledon appearance of 2014—she watched Novak Djokovic play Roger Federer in the men’s finals.

For the match, she wore the blue and green ‘Evelyn’ dress by Jonathan Saunders. We first spotted her wearing it during a visit to the Solomon Islands during the Jubilee Tour in 2012.

Kate paired the frock with her L.K. Bennett Avona clutch, Givenchy sunglasses, a gold Woodland Charm necklace by Asprey and her Kiki McDonough Green Amethyst Oval Drop Earrings.

2015 – L.K. Bennett Cayla Dress in Red
Kate attended Wimbledon once in 2015, to watch Andy Murray play in the quarter-finals. Although it was the sixth time she’d sat in the Royal Box since 2011, it was the first time we’d seen her wear a new dress for the occasion.

Every other dress she’d worn to the tournament was a repeat from an earlier tour. The colour was a departure from the norm too—Kate had worn mostly white and cream up until this point. She’d purchased the red short-sleeved dress from L.K. Bennett (it was the Cayla style).

Kate carried her leopard print Diane Von Furstenburg Lytton clutch and wore a pair of gold hoop earrings by Mirabelle.

She finished the look with her nude-coloured Jimmy Choo Gilbert Pumps and donned her Ray-Ban Wayfarer Folding Sunglasses during the sunnier moments of the match.

2016 – Roksanda Ryedale Dress in Yellow
Kate attended the women’s semi-finals for the first time in 2016.

It was also the first time she conducted a meet and greet with tournament officials, service personnel, ball boys/girls and other notable people ahead of the match.

We were not surprised to see Kate don another tour dress for the occasion! She chose the Roksanda Ryedale dress in yellow/white (pictured above in the opposite colourway). We first spotted her wearing the garment in Sydney in 2014.

Kate paired the dress with a pair of nude pumps by Rupert Sanderson—the Malory style—and a pair of pearl earrings by Soru Jewellery.

She debuted her large white Victoria Beckham Quincy handbag, plus she wore her folding Wayfarer Ray-Ban sunglasses.

2016 – McQueen Talisman Obsession Dress in Cream/Multicoloured Print
Kate wore the Alexander McQueen Obsession Talisman dress to watch Andy Murray play Milos Raonic in the 2016 men’s final.

This is probably the most quirky design we’ve seen Kate wear to date—the garment was decorated with a unique display of motifs—moths, flowers, eyes, crystals, marbles, skulls and more.

Kate paired the ivory silk dress with a pair of gold earrings from Brora (still available in 2022, here), her L.K. Bennett Natalie raffia box clutch and a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses (I’m not sure if she wore the folding or non-folding style on this occasion.)

2017 – Dolce & Gabbana Dress White/Black Polka Dot
In 2017, Kate attended the opening day of Wimbledon for the first time.

It was her first official visit as the newly-appointed Royal Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, a role previously held by the Queen. Kate conducted a meet and greet before watching the tennis.

On this occasion, she wore a white fit-and-flare dress with large black spots. It was by Dolce & Gabbana. She accessorised with her black suede Nina sandals by Office, her Oscar de la Renta earrings, and her Bvlgari sunglasses and her Victoria Beckham Quincy bag.

In 2017, William and Kate watched Roger Federer win his eighth Wimbledon title. On this occasion, the then-Duchess chose a white fit and flare dress by Catherine Walker, which featured a beautiful wildflower print along the hem.

The garment was bespoke, either created for Kate or loaned to her. It was never available on Catherine Walker’s website. The image below is from Instagram. This model wore the dress (or a similar version) at a pop-up catwalk show during Chelsea in Bloom during the Chelsea Flower Show.

Kate carried the Victoria Beckham Quincy bag, wore her Bvlgari sunglasses and her Cassandra Goad Earrings. She also debuted a pair of Stuart Weitzman NearlyNude block-heeled sandals.

2018 – Jenny Packham Dress with White/Black Polka Dot ‘Tennis Ball’ Print
In 2018, Kate attended Wimbledon with sister-in-law Meghan for the first time. The two women watched Meghan’s friend Serena Williams play in the ladies’ finals. It was also the first time the pair made a public appearance without their husbands.

Prior to play, Kate and Meghan took part in a meet and greet with ball boys/girls, wheelchair competitors, and junior players.

On this occasion, Kate wore a bespoke dress by Jenny Packham. It featured cap sleeves, ruffled detailing at the shoulder and waist, plus a black polka dot print that somewhat resembled tennis balls.

Kate debuted her Dolce & Gabbana Sicily Bag. She accessorised with a pair of nude suede Gianvito Rossi Pumps and her In2Design Baroque Pearl Drop Earrings and finished the look with her Ray-Ban Chris Sunglasses.

2018 – Dolce & Gabbana Dress Resort ‘17 Dress in Yellow
Kate chose a yellow Dolce & Gabbana dress for her second Royal Box appearance of 2018. She watched Novak Djokovic play Kevin Anderson in the men’s finals with her husband William.

Kate purchased the brightly coloured knee-length dress from D&G’s Resort ’17 collection.

She accessorised with her Dolce & Gabbana Sicily Bag, her Asprey Oak Leaf Hoop Earrings, her Asprey Woodland Charm necklace, her Ray-Ban Chris sunglasses and a mystery yellow cocktail ring (she’s worn this since at least 2008).

2019 – Susannah Flippy Wiggle Dress in White
Kate attended Wimbledon three times in 2019. For her first appearance, in her role as Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, she toured the practice courts before watching a couple of games.

She chose a white dress by Suzannah, known as the Flippy Wiggle dress, accessorised with a black bow belt by Alexander McQueen. She wore her Gianvito Rossi Piper Suede Pumps in black, her Catherine Zoraida Fern Gold Hoop Earrings, and the mystery yellow/gold cocktail ring mentioned above.

Kate debuted a new handbag and pair of sunglasses at this match. She carried the Alexander McQueen Wicca Satchel and the Ray-Ban Wayfarer II Sunglasses.

2019 – Bespoke Version of D&G’s Georgette Crepe Midi Dress in Green
Kate attended her second match of the year with her sister Pippa and sister-in-law Meghan. The three women watched Simona Halep defeat Serena Williams in the ladies’ final.

Kate chose a green mid-length dress by Dolce & Gabanna, another tour re-wear. She initially wore the dress during a visit to British Columbia, Canada in 2016.

Originally, the ready-to-wear version featured a clock motif under the right shoulder. It was known as the ‘Pocket Watch-Applique Midi Dress, from D&G’s AW16 collection. After Kate wore the green dress, the company released a plain version with the clock removed.

At Wimbledon, Kate accessorised with her Asprey London Gold Oak Leaf Hoops, her Rupert Sanderson Malory pumps in nude, her Dolce & Gabbana Sicily Bag and her Ray-Ban Wayfarer II sunglasses.

2019 – Emilia Wickstead Jordin Dress in Pastel Blue
She watched Federer and Djokovic play one another in the men’s finals wearing the New Zealand-born designer’s Jordin dress in pale blue. The dress featured a unique twisted detail on the shoulder straps.

On this occasion, Kate accessorised with her vintage Josef vintage beaded clutch, her In2Design Pearl Drop Earrings, her Ray-Ban Wayfarer II sunglasses and a new pair of shoes: the ALDO Nicholes block heeled shoes in ‘bone suede.’

Kate congratulated the winner, Djokovic, and presented him with the Men’s Singles trophy.

2020 – HVN Maria Dress in Green with Tennis Print
The Wimbledon tournament didn’t take place in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. To mark what would normally be ‘finals weekend’, Kate took part in a Zoom call with young tennis players from Bond Primary School in London.

Kate hosted the chat in her role as Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. Andy Murray also hopped on the call to surprise the students.

For the Zoom chat, Kate chose a green shirt dress by HVN. A festive choice—it was decorated with a tennis-themed print. I’m banking on seeing this dress again at a Tennis-themed engagement in the future. In the video, you can see she wore her Monica Vinader Siren earrings in green onyx.

2021- Alessandra Rich Blue Polka Dot Skirt and Blue Smythe Blazer
This was the first year we’d seen Kate depart from dresses in over a decade! She wore separates on the fifth day of the tournament.

She watched Jamie Murray play in the men’s doubles first-round match on court 14 heading to the club kitchen to help prepare strawberries and cream. Then, she visited the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum before heading to Centre Court to cheer on Jamie’s brother Andy Murray.

For her first visit of the year, Kate tucked a plain white tee into a blue polka dot skirt by Alessandra Rich. She finished off the look with her Smythe Duchess Blazer in navy blue. She also layered two gold necklaces by Spells of Love and Daniella Draper and carried her white Mulberry Amberley.

We saw a return of her Simone Rocha Faux Pearl Curb-Chain Earrings and a new white handbag: the Mulberry Amberley Small Crossbody in white, which Kate carried in her hand. Finally, Kate donned her Ray-Ban Chris Sunglasses.

2021 – Emilia Wickstead Denver Dress in Green
Kate attended the ladies’ finals in 2021 wearing a green Emilia Wickstead dress—known as the Denver style. Kate had the designer add cap sleeves.

She accessorised with a pair of white Jimmy Choo pumps (the Romy 85 style) and a bangle by Halcyon Days. Finally, Kate added a little bling to her outfit with a pair of Green Tourmaline and Green Amethyst Diamond Earrings by her favourite jeweller, Kiki McDonough.

The match marked Kate’s first public appearance following a period of self-isolation—the then-Duchess had to follow government guidelines and stay home following contact with somebody who had tested positive for COVID-19.

She stepped foot onto Centre Court to present the winner, Ashleigh Barty, with her trophy.

2021 – Beulah London Ahana Dress in Pink
Kate watched Novak Djokovic defeat Matteo Berrettini in the men’s final for her third and final Wimbledon appearance of 2021. She took in the action on Centre Court wearing a pastel pink dress by Beulah London. It was the Ahana style.

Kate accessorised with her Josef vintage beaded clutch, her Mappin & Webb Empress Earrings, her Aldo Nicholes Block Heeled Pumps and her Ray-Ban Chris Sunglasses.

2022 – Alessandra Rich Polka Dot Dress in Azure Blue
Kate made her Wimbledon debut on day nine of The Championships in 2022. She opted for her azure blue polka dot dress by Alessandra Rich‚ first seen at the Big Lunch during the Jubilee weekend.

Kate carried her Mulberry Amberley handbag in white, wore her In2Design Pearl Earrings, her Finlay &. Co. Henrietta Sunglasses and finished the look with a pair of Alessandra Rich Slingback Pumps in White with a Black Toe.

Kate attended the women’s finals wearing a sunshine yellow dress by Roksanda—the Brigitte. First seen in Jamaica, during the Platinum Jubilee Tour earlier in the year.

She paired the dress with her white Gianvito Rossi pumps and her Kiki McDonough Eden Citrine Earrings. She brought back her Bvlgari cat-eye sunglasses and debuted a new sun hat by L.K. Bennett.

2022 — Alessandra Rich Polka Dot Dress in Navy
Kate attended the men’s finals wearing a navy blue polka dot dress by her go-to designer, Alessandra Rich.

She paired the dress with her two-tone slingback pumps—also by Alessandra Rich and her mystery sapphire and diamond jewellery. We wore her Bvlgari cat-eye sunglasses for the second day running.

2023 – Mint Green Balmain Blazer and White Pleated Skirt
Kate made her Wimbledon debut of 2023 in a mint green double-breasted blazer from Balmain, paired with a white pleated maxi skirt. I suspect the blazer, an unexpected choice, was a nod to Wimbledon’s official brand colours. The Princess paired the ensemble with her Gianvito Rossi 105 pumps in white leather.

She accessorised with her Shyla London Chunky Knot Baroque Pearl Earrings and her Mulberry Amberley handbag in white leather.

Despite the London rain, Kate’s spirits remained high as she watched several matches and met with celebrated professional tennis player Emma Raducanu.

2023 – Lime Green Self-Portrait Dress
For her second Wimbledon appearance of 2023, the Princess chose green again! For the Ladies’ Finals she wore a zesty lime coloured dress by Self-Portrait.

The Princess watched Marketa Vondrousova make history as the first ever unseeded Wimbledon Ladies’ Singles Champion, before presenting her with a trophy.

The princess accessorised her eye-catching dress with a pair of pearl earrings by Cassandra Goad, Gianvito Rossi suede slingbacks, Victoria Beckham sunglasses, a Halcyon Days bangle, and a neutral-coloured clutch by Emmy London.

Kate Middleton chose an emerald dress by Roland Mouret for the 2023 Wimbledon Championship Finals.

Kate Middleton wears green to Wimbledon Finals 2023
From the Royal Box, Kate watched as Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz triumphed over Serbian Novak Djokovic.

Kate paired her green dress with neutral coloured accessories, the Natasha clutch in Blush from Emmy London and the Gianvito Rossi 105 pumps in bisque. She also debuted a pair of earrings from Milina London. Finally, she rewore her Victoria Beckham sunglasses and her Halcyon Days bangle from the previous day.

Kate Middleton chose a purple dress by Safiyaa London for the 2024 Wimbledon Championship Finals.

From the Royal Box, Kate watched Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic go head-to-head once again.

She paired her purple dress with her L.K. Bennett Milly handbag, two Halcyon Days bangles and her Camilla Elphick Lucia sandals. Earrings TBC.
