Princess Catherine and William have made a FINAL DECISION on Prince George’s future
In a momentous move that will shape Prince George’s educational and personal future, William and Catherine have made their final decision on their eldest son’s education after months of careful consideration.
Having visited prestigious institutions on numerous occasions, the royal couple have chosen the path that best suits their values and aspirations for George during their relaxing two month summer break at their Norfolk and Malul estates.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have had plenty of time to reflect and discuss their options, a period that has been particularly poignant as Catherine is currently going through a difficult time.
Adding emotional depth to their decision-making process, the final decision was that Prince George would attend St Edward’s School in Oxford, affectionately known as Teddy’s boarding school.
The school’s reputation for being a free and inclusive environment has impressed the royal couple with its commitment to the well-being and holistic development of children, a decision that was not made lightly. Prince William and Duchess Catherine did extensive research and visited a number of schools including the renowned Eaton College. Where both William and his younger brother Prince Harry attended, Eaton’s prestigious reputation and historical significance made it a strong contender.
However, the couple ultimately decided that St Edwards would provide a more suitable environment for their son’s needs in 2023. George is seen visiting the Halls of Eaton College with his parents Prince William and Catherine when Prince William attended Eaton College in 1995. He became the first senior royal to attend the school, as his father King Charles and grandfather Prince Philip both attended Gordon Stown in Scotland. Another school considered was Malbar College, where Catherine and her siblings were educated, while Malbar holds a special place in Catherine’s heart.
Concerns about the school’s increasingly glamorous reputation led the couple to seek a more down-to-earth, down-to-earth option. Catherine is said to have enjoyed her time at Marbor, where her brother James and sister Pippa Matthews were also educated. Andle School in Northamptonshire was also shortlisted for shaping well-rounded, ambitious but modest individuals. Andle’s ethos is closely aligned with the values of the Royal Family, but St Edward’s holistic approach and commitment to inclusivity ultimately won out.
Princess Katherine took a new photograph of Prince George to mark his 11th birthday, the black and white image rather than her love of photography and the iconic Stark qualities it carries, taken at Windsor earlier this month. The photo, posted on Welsh social media, shows George looking smart and mature in an open-collared white shirt and dark jacket. The former royal photographer, who likes to create strong images and focuses on creating timeless and stylish images, said I like to create strong images, but I also like to create images that are not only timeless but also stylish.
