Kate Middleton is ‘expected to be away from public duties for some time’, according to reports.

While the Princess has been working from home on her Early Years project, it has now emerged the mother-of-three won’t be returning to formal engagements.

Reporting in The Times, Associate Editor Kate Mansey wrote, ‘Kate is expected to be away from public duties for some time. The Prince of Wales has continued with his own public engagements while his wife recuperates.’

It had been reported this week that Kate ‘may be keen to attend events as and when she feels able to’ as she continues her recovery from cancer.

The Princess of Wales retreated from the spotlight after she announced she was receiving treatment for the disease in March, asking the public for ‘some time, space and privacy’ while she completed the course of chemotherapy. While the form of cancer was not disclosed, the Princess offered the world a moving insight into her reaction to the diagnosis, and how she told her family of the news she was unwell.
