Kate Middleton exuded poise and resolve during the Windsor walkabout in September 2022, following her encounter with Meghan Markle, a body language expert has observed.
The Prince and Princess of Wales were accompanied by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they met with mourners outside Windsor Castle shortly after Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.
The gathering marked a high-stakes moment for the two royal women who had not been seen together since Harry and Meghan’s explosive Oprah Winfrey interview aired in 2021.
Despite potential awkwardness, Kate remained focused on her royal responsibilities, with body language expert Jesus Enrique Rosas praising her on his YouTube channel Royal Rogue, the Express reports.
Prince William and Catherine, the new Prince and Princess of Wales, accompanied by Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, arrive to view floral tributes to Queen Elizabeth II laid outside Cambridge Gate at Windsor Castle on 10th September 2022 in Windsor, United Kingdom.

Rosas said: “She nailed the way one should behave when you find yourself in a situation in which you need to share the stage with others.”
Speaking of Meghan, he remarked: “Meghan was nervous, looking in Catherine’s direction, and Meghan’s left hand – was at least, for a split second – covering her chest. Catherine was walking tall with her hands relaxed and her chin really up.
“I have seen Catherine walking a thousand times and she usually doesn’t have her chin that high up – in some scenarios, it could be read as arrogance, but in this case, it was more like… she was showing who was in charge.”
Rosas concluded by highlighting the diplomatic grace displayed by William and Kate: “Despite what was being requested of William and Catherine in this moment, they behaved in the most diplomatic and polite way, and that is the ability that some people have, that is part of emotional intelligence.

Meghan has not returned to the UK since the Queen’s funeral in September 2022
The video analysis delves into the couples’ interactions, highlighting Meghan’s seemingly more reserved approach towards the British public.
In a moment captured on camera, while William and Kate actively wave and speak to the crowd, Meghan’s gesture is noticeably subtler as they stand beside their vehicle.
Expert Mr Rosas observed: “This is another picture truly representative of the power of presence. You can see the tension in Meghan’s body with her arm contracted and if you have a keen eye, you can also see the tension in her neck.”

He added: “That is not to say that Catherine was not tense as well, but even in that tension, she knew that she had a role bigger than herself and her feelings.”
Meghan Markle’s lack of popularity in the UK may be a factor in her reluctance and infrequent visits since the Queen’s funeral.
However, Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams suggested to Express.co.uk a potential reason for her return: “She might of course, bring Archie and Lili to see their grandfather, King Charles, but the circumstances where that might be a possibility currently clearly do not apply.
“However if she were to, her reception would obviously be more muted.”
