Kate Middleton taking break from public engagements to spend summer holidays with her kids
Kate Middleton is still receiving cancer treatment
Kate Middleton will reportedly take another step back from public life after making appearances at both Trooping the Colour and Wimbledon.
The public was overjoyed to see the mum-of-three return to public duties but Kate stressed that she would only attend a light number of events.
This is largely due to the fact that she is still undergoing cancer treatment.
After announcing the news, Kate had stressed that she was still having both good and bad days so her public appearances would all depend on how she was feeling.
She completely scaled back her royal engagements, but attended Trooping the Colour earlier this summer.
An insider told People that she’s taking each day as it comes.
“Before, she used to live her life by the calendar, and now she is living her life, and the calendar comes in after.
“She will be back, but when you have had an experience like this, it changes your perspective and the order of things,” they explained.
Kate Middleton wants to step out of the spotlight to enjoy more time with her children who are due to wrap up school for the summer.
The royals will be spending time at their home Anmer Hall in Norfolk for the next few weeks.
The source added: “She won’t have to be on centre stage. Being with her family and just being herself will give her energy. There will be plenty of time to focus on her recovery.”
This update comes after Kate received a standing ovation at the Wimbledon final earlier this month.
The Princess of Wales was in great spirits as she arrived at the sporting event with her daughter Charlotte and sister Pippa.
Kate’s cancer treatment will reportedly continue for the next few months, but she said she is improving.
