Meghan Markle habit went against Royal Family ethos – ‘It was how she grew up’

EXCLUSIVE: “I don’t think they took into consideration how she grew up,” says a US-based royal journalist.
Meghan Markle’s “get-up-and-go” attitutde during her time as a frontline royal largely went unnoticed, according to a US-based journalist

Britanni Barger, co-founder of Royal News, told Daily Express US “very anti-American bias” also contributed to negative public opinion of the Duchess.

She said: “She was up early, working all the time, she has the get-up-and-go attitude, but that’s the American attitude, we get stuff done, and I think the British are more relaxed.

“I don’t think they took into consideration, how she grew up, I think they wanted her to become 100 percent British, and she was never going to do that.”

For example, Meghan was asked to have a fruit cake as her wedding cake as per royal tradition but she allegedly refused and Ms Barger believes she was in the right, because that is a part of British culture and not part of Meghan’s culture growing up in Los Angeles, California.

Meghan tried on the role of senior working royal, but it wasn’t a good fit

The royal journalist attributes this to a “clash in cultures,” adding: “If you’re not being respected, and your culture isn’t being respected, you’re going to be… bitter.”

Ms Barger feels Harry and Meghan should return to the UK for a period as King Charles “deserves to see his grandchildren.”

She suggested: “She could go in a private capacity, even if she’s not out in the public, spend some time with Harry’s family, let Archie and Lili spend time with their grandfather, their uncle, their aunt, their cousins.”

The Invictus Games 10th Anniversary is coming up, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 8 at St Paul’s Cathedral in London.

Harry is expected to attend in-person and Meghan is still marked as TBC (to be confirmed).

But as Charles Rae pointed out during a recent GB News segment, details of the Meghan attending would likely be known by now, were it the case.
