Since Catherine’s cancer diagnosis, the Waleses are said to want a “truce” for the sake of their children
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have displayed a kind demeanor towards Prince William and Kate Middleton by showing them utmost respect during this challenging time.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have had strained relations with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for years, are giving William and Catherine space as she battles cancer, according to sources.
Since stepping back as senior royals and relocating to the US with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, Harry and Meghan have made various critical remarks about the royal institution through television interviews, appearances, and Harry’s memoir, Spare, published in January 2023.
But since Catherine’s cancer diagnosis, the Waleses are said to want a “truce” for the sake of their children.
However, according to commentators, a potential reunion of the Fab Four might take some time, and royal experts believe Harry will meet his father, King Charles, next week but not his brother William.
A source told Us Weekly: “The Duke and Duchess [of Sussex] want to be super respectful and don’t want to add stress to the situation. If Will and Kate want their space, Meghan and Harry will give it to them.”
After Catherine’s cancer diagnosis was shared publicly, Harry and Meghan sent her their best wishes. They said: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
An insider said Catherine’s diagnosis “put things into perspective” for the Prince and Princess of Wales and it has been reported that the two brothers are now “open” to a meeting. Catherine is also said to be “done with all the bad blood” and is “willing” to talk to her brother-in-law, Harry.
