Meghan Markle only just released photos from her visit to a children’s hospital, and the meaning behind the delay is very sweet.

New pictures of Meghan Markle were released yesterday, showing her visiting a children’s hospital on March 21.
Many had questioned why the photographs were only just shared by the royal, but it appears the Duchess of Sussex was looking out for her sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales.
Typically, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex release promotional material of an engagement the day after it took place, which would mean details would have been shared on Friday, March 22 – the day Kate told the world of her cancer diagnosis.
It has therefore been suggested that Meghan held onto the photos and details of her visit so she didn’t overshadow the bombshell news from across the pond.
Meghan appeared at the hospital to mark their annual Make March Matter campaign, and even took part in a special Literally Healing story time with the children and their families.
Last month, Princess Kate released an emotional video announcing that she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer and was undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
Following her video, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a statement wishing the Princess “health and healing”. They added that they hoped Kate would be able to do so “privately and in peace”.
During Meghan’s visit on March 21, the mother-of-two was able to hark back to her royal roots – with the visit bearing resemblance to her former royal visits.
Meghan was also able to draw in her own acting experience during the reading session with the children and their families.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have experienced a tense relationship with the Royal Family in the past few years – especially since stepping down as senior working royals at the start of 2020.
The couple now live in the US with their two children, with Meghan having not yet returned to the UK since 2022.
Meghan has been tipped to make a return to the UK next month, as Harry prepares for a key reason.

Meghan could be set to join her husband on the visit, with her reportedly being included on the guest list – although with ‘to be confirmed’ next to her name.
The couple could also bring along their children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.
