Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received yet another blow over their deal with Netflix as the duke’s Heart of Invictus docuseries failed to get a nomination for the 76th Emmy Awards.
The Duke of Sussex’s five-part series was released in August 2023 and followed six veterans competing in Harry’s 2022 Invictus Games in the Netherlands.
Whilst the consideration period for the Emmys spanned from June 1, 2023, to May 31 2024, Heart of Invictus did not secure a nomination among any categories.
Meanwhile, David and Victoria Beckham’s eponymous documentary for Netflix was nominated for five awards.
Beckham was nominated for Outstanding Documentary Series, Cinematography, Picture Editing, Music Composition, and Directing.

Harry and Meghan signed a lucrative deal with Netflix, reportedly worth more than £77 million ($100 million), after they quit their royal duties in 2020.
Their first project for the streaming giant was their explosive docuseries Harry & Meghan, which sparked controversy as it detailed their love story and life within the Firm up until their departure in 2020.
Apart from Heart Of Invictus, they’ve also released Live To Lead.
Their latest projects for the streaming giant will focus on cooking and polo.
Meghan is said to have finished filming her cookery show which will “celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship”.
She will curate the series, which will see Leah Hariton as showrunner, and Michael Steed as director.
The show, which has yet to be named, was announced back in April, with its release date still unknown.
It will be produced by Sony Pictures Television’s Intellectual Property with the duchess, Hariton, Archewell’s Chanel Pysnik, and IPC’s Aaron Saidman and Eli Holzman serving as executive producers.
The second series is said to “provide viewers unprecedented access to the world of professional polo”.
It will feature Miloš Balać as showrunner and Meghan, her husband Prince Harry, Psynik, Ian Samplin and Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Sarina Roma, and Dne Lillegard as executive producers.
