Prince Harry “will make efforts to see Princess Kate and Prince William” during his visit to the UK in May, a royal source has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex is expected to return to Britain in May this year to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
Royal author, Tom Quinn, has said that Prince Harry will make an effort to see his brother and sister-in-law following her recent cancer announcement.
On Friday evening, the princess released a video message revealing that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
Quinn said: “Given Kate’s cancer diagnosis, Harry will certainly make efforts to see his brother and Kate when he returns to the UK in May.
“If it happens at all it’s to be a very brief carefully choreographed meeting and organised to last a short time so that the brothers can avoid any difficult conversations.”
Quinn told the Mirror: “At the same time Harry knows how it will look if he comes back to the UK and doesn’t see his brother and Kate. It’s going to be a very awkward time.”
Prince Harry visited the UK in February following the announcement of his father’s cancer diagnosis.

He was criticised for not seeing the Prince or the Princess of Wales during his short visit to the UK.
But, during a TV interview with Good Morning America (GMA), he spoke about returning to the UK in the coming year.
He said: “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him [King Charles] and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.
“I have got other trips planned that would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so I will stop in and see my family as much as I can.”

Following the news of Princess Kate’s cancer, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a statement of support.
They said: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
ITV’s royal editor, Chris Ship, also said that Prince Harry “reached out to his brother” after Kate’s cancer announcement.
Ship added: “Harry and Meghan have both been in touch with their brother/sister-in-law but did so privately.

“It is not clear if that was a phone/video call or some messages of support.”
The relationship between Prince Harry and William has been tense since the Duke of Sussex published his memoir, Spare, which criticised his brother.
Harry and Meghan also made claims against the Royal Family during their Oprah Interview and in their Netflix series.
Quinn also commented: “William would much rather keep Harry at my arms length, simply because of this trust-issue- if William felt Harry could be relied on, he would certainly want him back in the UK, because this is one of the most stressful times in William’s life.”
