Despite the upcoming launch of a new show, the royal author also claims Harry and Meghan are struggling because of recent setbacks. He said: “There is a growing rift between Harry and Meghan caused by Meghan’s increasing concern that her life is not going in the direction she had planned – she loves media attention and hates the fact that surveys suggest she and Harry are no longer of much interest to the American public.”
Meghan suffered a setback after her podcast, Archetypes, was dropped by Spotify last summer, after just 12-episodes following their £15.5million deal.
In a joint statement, Archewell Audio and Spotify said they had “mutually agreed to part ways” and were “proud of the series we made together”.
It had originally topped podcast charts for Spotify in several markets and scooped the top podcast award at the People’s Choice Award in Los Angeles. Spotify executive Bill Simmons, however, launched a scathing attack on the couple, labelling them “f****** grifters” in his own podcast.
